Steps for Current Students
Currently enrolled tuition-assistance recipients must re-apply on the website School and Student Services (SSS) by the November deadline and qualify (demonstrate financial need) each year to renew their assistance.
Current families who were not awarded tuition assistance at the time of enrollment should inform the director of tuition assistance (505-828-3352) of their intention to apply for tuition assistance before starting their application on SSS.
September 1, 2023: Online tuition-assistance application is available on the website School and Student Services (SSS).
November 11, 2023: Application Deadline for Returning Students
Last day for returning students to submit all tuition-assistance application items:
- Completed Parent Financial Statement (PFS) on SSS.
- $60 processing fee or fee waiver
- 2021 and 2022 tax return(s) and schedules uploaded
- Your household’s 2021 and 2022 W2s uploaded
- Upon review of your information, Albuquerque Academy reserves the right to require additional documentation.
Changes in your family’s financial circumstances, most often a change in income, will affect the amount of assistance your child is eligible to receive. Please contact Emily Kienzle for more information if your household income has changed significantly since last year.
January 1 – January 31, 2024 – Notification Date for Returning Students
Notification of grant approval for 2023-24 sent via email. Grant amount will be available on the “Awards” tab of your family’s SSS account.
January 31, 2024: Enrollment contracts for the 2023-24 school year published in the ChargerHub Parent Portal for review and electronic submission.
February 15, 2023: Enrollment contracts for the 2023-24 school must be signed and submitted to reserve your child’s enrollment spot. A $100 per student non-refundable enrollment deposit is charged to families who receive tuition assistance. Families who applied but do not qualify for tuition assistance are charged a $1,000 per student non-refundable enrollment deposit.
April 30: Deadline for 2023 Tax Documents – for enrolled tuition-assistance recipients to submit their household’s W2s and signed copies of their 2023 tax return and schedules. Submission of corresponding K-1s, forms 1065 or 1120 along with Schedule E is required for those who have an ownership interest in a partnership or corporation.
May 1: Last day to withdraw 2024-25 enrollment contract without incurring financial penalty.
